Our coach Tom Howes (USA, Ret.) contacts each registrant for a personal resume review. His professional guidance will highlight skillsets, so you present at your best. The outcome is prepared, confident candidates who may potentially be interviewed and hired. Submit a one-page resume summary when registering. Include a career objective followed by relevant experience – this helps recruiters match you with roles they're hiring for. Search for positions on Indeed and LinkedIn that align with your goals. Incorporate those key phrases into your experience. State hard skills, quantifiable data, education, certifications. Skip soft skills, hobbies, interests, photos, personal info.
Many companies will schedule interviews at MOJO; They receive resumes a week prior and begin contacting candidates in advance. Not having an interview does not exclude you, since some employers like the federal agencies have a more official process. Most important is to apply for jobs in advance and bring those position descriptions to review with recruiters at their booths. That shows you are prepared, qualified and interested. Engage with as many companies as possible while you have this unique opportunity. Network, make contacts and do not self-filter. It's not unusual to have multiple interviews and subsequent job offers at MOJO. Follow up after the conference.
